In addition, one of its most successful strategies has been the funding of junior exploration companies by means of equity placements, with concomitant rights to joint venture key projects. Acquiring stock in a rising gold market, through the equity placements, has been an effective way to fund the costs associated with exploration deals. This strategy also helps to mitigate the startup cost of entering into new political jurisdictions.
